Interviews with parents and child (if possible) including child's current educational status and parents' areas of concern.
Gathering, interpreting and evaluation of treatment history, current testing, transcripts, reports, goals, student's interests, recommendations from therapists, teachers, etc.
Referrals - if appropriate - for further testing.
Development of a list of appropriate, unbiased options for the child. Communication with placement options to determine if the program will be a good fit for the student and if there is availability.
Continued support for parents and communication with the chosen option during application and placement process.
Help with transportation services if necessary.
Advocacy and monitoring after placement for up to a year.
